Maple-mustard BBQ chicken
Background
If you’re looking for an easy, tasty, gluten-free, and/or dairy-free recipe for BBQ chicken, try these maple-mustard BBQ chicken drumsticks. It’s very easy to prepare, taking just 5 minutes to mix the marinade. Both kids and adults love them because they sweet and sour - so it’s an ideal recipe for summer garden parties. You can use chicken breast or thighs too.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs
- 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
Instructions
- Put the chicken in a freezer bag. Mix all other ingredients in a small bowl, then pour over the chicken.
- Tie the handles of the bag and massage the chicken with the marinade, making sure all pieces are coated well.
- Rest the bag of chicken in the fridge (for up to 12 hours) until you’re ready to cook.
- Heat the BBQ, grill or griddle pan. Take the chicken out of the fridge an let it come to room temperature.
- Cook the chicken over medium heat until charred (but not burnt!) and cooked through properly.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
