Spiced mincemeat

Background

Every year I make mincemeat not just for mince pies but for other treats too during the holidays. Also, I find that a jar of home-made mincemeat is a lovely Christmas present to give to friends and family members! This spiced mincemeat is a super-easy version, made with stem ginger that gives it another dimension. It has plenty of booze too, so keeps well for months stored in the fridge! Most importantly, it’s quick and easy to make, and can be used in a couple days after cooking (I used it the very next day and it was very yummy!). You can read more about mincemeat here>>
