Background
This warm coleslaw salad is an interesting variation on the usual form - it goes particularly well with frankfurters or bratwurst instead ofΒ sauerkraut, or with barbecued meat. It takes only a few minutes to throw together and it makes a very healthy side dish.
Ingredients
- 300g white cabbage
- 1 Tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1 tsp honey
Instructions
- Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage, then cut it in half lengthwise and slice into thin strips (or shred it).
- Mix together the vinegar, honey, mustard, ginger and cumin.
- Put the cabbage into the saucepan and pour over enough boiling water from a kettle to cover it. Blanch for 2 minutes, then drain.
- Transfer it into a serving dish, mix with the dressing and parsley. Season to taste. Serve warm.
