Background

Lobster is one of my favourite seafoods but I had always only eaten it in a restaurant. I thought it was time to add an Indian touch to lobster. So I tried cooking the lobster in coconut milk. My Indian lobster curry turned out to be delicious cooked in the spices and its own juices!

Ingredients

1 whole lobster (cooked)
2 Medium onions (chopped)
1 Tomato (chopped)
1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
1 cup coconut milk
1 Green chilli
Salt to taste
1 Tbsp oil
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp chilli powder

Instructions

Heat a deep bottomed pan and add oil to it.
When the oil is hot, add the chopped onions, green chilli and turmeric.
Brown the onions and add the ginger garlic paste and tomatoes.
After the tomatoes are cooked, add the chilli powder and coconut milk then cook until the oil oozes out on the sides.
Add the lobster and cook for another 10 min (add a little water if the curry is getting dry).
Serve hot with steamed rice.
