Cook the pasta according to the packet instruction, then drain and keep warm in the pan.
Meanwhile, cut the onion into thin slices. Remove the stem of the figs, then cut them into four wedges each.
Heat some oil in a saucepan, then add the onion and thyme leaves and gently sauté until the onion has softened.
Add the balsamic vinegar, figs and the honey, then gently stir until the onions and figs caramelise.
Crumble most of the goat's cheese on top of the pasta, mix well, then divide between two plates. Top with the caramelised figs and onion, then crumble the remaining cheese over the dishes.
Scatter some chopped walnuts on top and drizzle with some honey, then serve.
