Put the peas in a large bowl and pour boiling water over them. Leave for 3-5 minutes, then drain.
Put all ingredients in a blender, season to taste, then process for a few second until you get a coarse paste - it should be like a spread but if it's too thick, add more yoghurt.
Heat a heavy based frying pan or pancake pan and add a drop of oil. Spread it around using a paper kitchen-towel. When hot, drop in a tablespoonful of the mixture, then gently spread around with the back of the spoon to form a round shape. Repeat this - you can probably cook 5-6 fritters at a time.
After a couple of minutes, flip the fritters over with a spatula and cook for another minute or so, until golden.
Transfer them to a plate and cook more fritters in batches using up all the batter.
