Dry roast black lentils on a medium flame until light brown.
Cool and make fine powder.
Add the flours, carom seeds, sesame seeds, and salt to a bowl and mix well.
Add hot oil and mix well.
Add water just enough to make smooth dough.
Heat oil in a deep pan.
Grease the murukku mould and fill the mould with dough.
Press the mould to make spirals on a butter paper and when the oil is hot enough, remove the spiral and drop gently in the hot oil.
Fry till golden brown. Drain them on a kitchen tissue to remove excess oil.
Store the murukku in air tight jar and serve them as evening snack along with a hot cup of tea.
