Ingredients

  • 2 thick slices of sirloin steak
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • For the sauce:
  • 1 clove garlic roasted or barbecued
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 75 ml of Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp coriander seeds
  • Salt & pepper
  • Garnish: chopped parsley pine nuts (optional)

Method

  1. Mix the olive oil, cumin seeds and garlic. Marinate the steak with this mixture and rest in the fridge for about 2-4 hours or overnight.

  3. Take the meat out of the fridge 10 minute before cooking. Season then barbecue or grill for 3-5 minutes on each side to your liking.
  4. Rest for 5 minutes then cut half-inch slices.
  5. Garnish with chopped parsley and pine nuts (optional) and pour over the sauce.
  6. Serve with potato salad . Alternatively put into a ban, pita, flatbrad or wrap. Add some leafy salad and pour the dressing over it.
