First mix together the flax egg or the paste using egg replace powder. Set aside.
Grate the apple and mix with the rest of the ingredients, adding the milk gradually, until you get a thick pancake batter.
Stir in the egg paste. If time allows Set aside for 10 minutes to rest.
You should have a thick mixture now. Add a teaspoon of oil to the batter.
Lightly grease, then heat a heavy pancake pan. Add about five dollops of the batter to the pan, spreading them out into circular shapes.
Cook them for a couple of minutes, then carefully flip them over and cook for another minute or so.
Transfer the pancakes to a plate. Make another batch using up the remaining batter.
Serve with maple syrup and seeds/nuts on the side.
