Pesto and parmesan puff twirls

Background

These pesto and Parmesan puff twirls are super-easy to make using ready-rolled puff pastry. They're perfect for parties, picnics or just as snacks.

Ingredients

1 pack ready rolled puff pastry
2 Tbsp pesto (green or red)
50g finely grated parmesan

Instructions

Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll the pastry sheet and glaze with the pesto. Scatter most of the cheese over.
Cut the pastry into long 1cm wide strips.
Pick up a strip with both hands, then twist the ends in opposite directions. Place the twirls onto the baking sheet and press both ends down to the sheet to keep their shape.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
Remove the tray from the oven and scatter over the remaining Parmesan to melt onto the twirls. Let them cool.
