Background

This salmon and horseradish paté can be made under five minutes. It's a perfect sandwich filler or dip for snacks & nibbles at picnics and parties.

Ingredients

1 small tin of salmon in brine (about 220g)
100g cream cheese
1Tbsp grated onion
1tsp fresh lemon juice
1 handful of herbs (see Tips )
Salt and pepper

Instructions

Drain the salmon, remove the skin.
Put everything into a small food processor, blend to a textured paste.
Season to taste.
Chill.

Tips

Parsley, chives, coriander or basil go very well with this recipe - use one or more of them.
Try making the paté with freshly grated horseradish, it will taste be even more zesty!
