Greek-style pork burger
This is a super-easy burger but rather different to your usual beef-burger. So it’s really good for a party or a weekend barbecue with friends & family. You can go with the Greek theme and serve it in pita rather than a bun and with tzatziki rather than coleslaw.
Ingredients
Method
- Chop the onion very finely and combine with the meat, garlic, breadcrumbs and oregano.
- Season to taste, then form 4-6 balls and press between your palms. Brush both sides with some oil and barbecue or griddle for 5-7 minutes on each side.
- Meanwhile, cut the buns in half, toast or grill them until lightly charred.
- Assemble the burger: spread some mustard on the lower part of the bun, layer the lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber or coleslaw salad, then add the burger and top with the upper bun. Enjoy!
