Sauteed green beans and peas with ham
If you have leftover cooked or roasted ham, this recipe is a good way to use it up. This sautéed green beans and peas with ham is ideal for a quick midweek lunch or supper, served with pasta, noodles, rice or toast.

- Heat the oil a frying pan and soften the shallot for a couple of minutes. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add the vegetables, vinegar and a drop of water. Bring to the boil, then put the lid on, and cook for about 5 minutes over low heat. Add some water if needed.
- Meanwhile, cut the ham into small cubes.
- When the vegetables are tender, stir in the mustard and ham pieces. Season to taste.
- Serve with the chopped herbs scattered on top.
