Ingredients

  • 400 g thin cut beef steaks
  • 4 Tbsp red wine
  • 1.5 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp unrefined cane or palm sugar
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion

Method

  1. Mix the soy, wine, mustard and sugar together. Pour this over the steaks, cover them well and rest for a while.
  2. Slice the onion into rings.
  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan, fry the onion rings, then dry them in paper towels.
  4. Place the steaks in the pan and season with pepper. Turn them over after 30 seconds. If you like steak medium, transfer to a plate now. If you like it well done, cook for another minute.
  5. Rest them for a couple of minutes before serving.
