Braised leeks with orange
This quick and easy braised leeks with orange goes fantastically with pork chops or with a Sunday roast. It also goes well as a side-dish in a festive menu – and can be prepared in advances and re-heated.

Method
- Thinly slice the leeks (including most of the green part too).
- Melt the butter, add the leek slices, season with salt and pepper. Cover with a lid and gently sauté at a low temperature for about 8 minutes until tender.
- Add the cornstarch, stir gently fry for 1 minute until, then add the orange juice and sprinkle with most of the zest. Bring to a simmer, and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Scatter the remaining orange peel over it before serving,
