Ingredients

  • 300 ml mulled wine
  • 300 g mixed dried fruits
  • 100 ml water
  • 100 g flour can be gluten-free
  • ½ tsp ground mixed spice

  • 50 g soft brown sugar

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C.
  2. Warm up the mulled wine with dried fruits and the water and simmer for 10 minutes on a very low heat. It must not boil! Turn off the heat, leave to cool.
  3. Meanwhile mix the butter with the flour and spice until you get a mixture resembling breadcrumbs. Mix in the sugar.
  4. Transfer the soaking fruits and mulled wine to a deep oven-proof then cover evenly with the crumble. Bake for about 25 minutes until golden.
  5. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve it with custard or vanilla ice-cream.
