- 1 red apple
- ½ cup chopped walnut kernels
- ½ cup thinly sliced celery
- ½ cup of red grapes, cut in half
- 2-3 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Salt, pepper, lettuce leaves
Instructions
- Mix the mayonnaise with the lemon juice in a bowl.
- Core the apple then cut into half then into bite-sizes chunks.
- Add the apple, grapes, celery and walnut to the mayonnaise, season to taste and toss well.
- Arrange the lettuce leaves on a plate or in a bowl, then fill these with the salad.
Tips
- The ideal lettuce is romaine lettuce, because it's crispy and they make nice little parcels! Iceberg lettuce works well too.
- The mayonnaise should be of high quality!
