Festive Cranberry and Walnut Loaf
I like to try a variety of different recipes beyond the regular loaves I make almost every day in our trusty bread machine. With Christmas fast approaching, this Festive Cranberry and Walnut Loaf seemed a good one to try and it turned out rather well – if the speed it was eaten is anything to go by! If you have any issues with dairy then by all means substitute the milk and butter with your preferred non-dairy equivalents and it still works well.
Ingredients
Method
- The both sets of butter should be cut into teaspoon sized bits and kept fridge-cool until ready for use.
- Add the Initial Ingredients to the pan of your bread machine.
- Choose the brioche setting if it has one otherwise use the basic bread setting.
- When the baking is underway, break the walnuts into small pieces and also any of the dried fruits that are large should be chopped up a bit.
- When the bell beeps (or after the first rise for machines without the brioche setting) put all the Additional Ingredients into the pan, close the lid and press the Start Button again if required by your bread machine.
- Use oven gloves to remove the loaf onto a cooling rack. Enjoy!
