Roasted apple sauce
Apple sauce goes so well with pork! When you’re doing roast pork next time, why don’t you make more use of the oven and bake some delicious apple sauce too? This boozy roasted apple sauce is really delicious! If you have any leftover, just mix it with some flour, milk or fizzy water, and an egg then make some pancakes for breakfast!

- Peel, core and cut the apples into thin wedges.
- Mix the butter, Calvados, cinnamon, lemon juice, zest and clove. Add honey or sugar to your liking (about 1-2 Tbsps). Coat the apple pieces with this mixture and put them in an ovenproof dish.
- Roast for about 20 minutes until soft and golden. Transfer them into a mini food processor and whiz until you get a textured sauce. Taste, add a pinch of salt and more sugar, lemon juice or Calvados to your liking.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
