Ingredients

  • 1 thick Sirloin steak about 350g
  • 2 Tbsp of Whisky
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 50 g blue cheese Roquefort or Stilton
  • 3 Tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp chopped chives

Method

  1. Rub the meat with the garlic and place on a plate.
  2. Pour over the whisky and, depending on the quality of the meat, marinate it for 20-120 minutes or overnight.
  3. Mash the cheese with a fork, then mix with the yoghurt and half of the chives. Set aside.
  4. Heat a griddle pan or barbecue.
  5. Season the meat, then cook the steak on both sides to your liking. 2-3 minutes per side will leave it medium – a little pink in the middle.
  6. Rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
  7. Serve with the cheese sauce & salad or greens and sprinkle with the remaining chives.
