Baked prawns with garlic and dill
Background
I always keep prawns (raw and cooked) in the freezer, because they are ideal for quick and easy meals or snacks, and can be used frozen too! This baked prawns with garlic and dill is a regular dish on our dining table, as itβs yummy, zingy and super easy to make. It can be served as tapas or with pasta for a main meal. If you use frozen prawns, the cooking time should be a bit longer.
Ingredients
- 200g raw and peeled king prawns
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 knobs of butter
- Juice of Β½ lemon
- 2 Tbsp chopped dill
- Chili flakes (optional) or paprika
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180Β°C.
- Put the prawns in a small baking dish. Add the butter, lemon juice and chilli flakes (if used), then scatter the dill on top.
- Put a lid on or cover the dish with foil.
- Put the dish in the oven and cook for 5-8 minutes. When the prawns have turned pink, they are ready - don't overcook them!
- Serve immediately with a pinch of paprika and plenty of ground pepper.
