Background
This Beef, Bean and Broccoli Stir Fry is a really quick and easy supper dish to please kids and adults alike. It's is very healthy and tasty - and ready in just 20 minutes from start to finish!
Ingredients
- 450g frying steak
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cups trimmed green beans
- 1 onion, sliced
- To coat the beef:
- 2 Tbsp cornflour
- 2 Tbsp water
- Β½ tsp garlic powder
- pinch of salt & pepper
- To fry the beef:
- 1 Tbsp groundnut oil
- To fry the vegetables:
- 1 Tbsp groundnut oil
- For the sauce:
- 4 Tbsp light soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- Β½ thumb of finely grated fresh ginger
Instructions
- Cut the beef into thin strips and mix together with the cornflour, garlic powder & water.
- Heat your wok or frying pan, add 1 Tbsp oil and allow to heat up well. Stir fry the coated beef for 5 or 6 minutes, then remove to a plate and cover.
- Add another Tbsp oil then stir fry the vegetables for another 5 minutes, before returning the beef to the pan.
- Pour in the sauce, stir well and cook for another couple of minutes.
- Serve with noodles or boiled rice.
