Chocolate pancakes

Background
Chocolate pancakes are everyone's favorite in my family and this dish is very easy to make. These pancakes were made by my niece Alekya and the recipe is from her.
Ingredients
- 1ΒΌ cups flour
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1Β½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp melted butter
- 1 large egg
- ⅓ cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large bowl whisk egg and sugar, whisk until light and fluffy. Add milk, melted butter and whisk until combined.
- In other bowl whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients into wet ingredients and whisk until smooth, if to thick add 1-2 Tbsps milk, if to thin add 1-2 Tbsps flour. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Melt 1 Tbsp butter. Pour ¼ cup of batter for each pancake. cook until bubbles start to form on the surface of the pancake, about 2 to 3 minutes. Flip, and cook an additional minute on the opposite side.
- Lightly dust the pancakes with powdered sugar.
- Serve with butter and Hershey's chocolate syrup.
