If you want some quick and easy nibbles for a party or to snack on with a glass of wine or two, try these super easy chorizo puffs. You can make them with other paprika sausage, salami or pepperoni. Perfect for picnics too!
Ingredients
- 1 pack of ready sliced chorizo, pepperoni or paprika salami
- 1 sheet Puff Pastry (ready rolled)
- 2-3tbs of paste (such as chilli, pesto, tomato purΓ©e, olive paste, sundried tomato paste etc)
- basil leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180Β°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Put the puff pastry onto a large chopping board. Roll it out onto its own wrapping paper.
- Cut the sheet into squares, a bit bigger than the diameter of your salami slices. Put a drop of your paste in the middle of the squares and lightly press a basil leaf on it, spreading out the paste. Put a slice of salami/sausage on top.
- Place the squares on the baking try, evenly spaced.
- Bake for about 10-15 minutes until the puff pastry is golden. Transfer them to a wire rack to cool slightly or completely.
