Crispy onion rings

Background
Onion rings are a very popular snack and they are pretty easy to make, it can be hard to get them to be perfectly crispy when making them at home. This onion rings recipe will ensure that they come out perfectly crispy and a sure hit with everyone!
Ingredients
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 medium size onions
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- Β½ cup thick curd
- Β½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- Β½ cup bread crumbs to coat
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions
- Cut the onions into rings about ΒΌ of an inch thick and separate them from each other carefully. Set aside the smaller ones for other recipes.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, red chilli powder, salt in a medium bowl.
- Add curd little by little and also water to make batter. Mix well until no lumps remain.
- Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan.
- Coat each onion ring in the batter and shake away the excess.
- Coat in bread crumbs and fry them in the oil under medium flame.
- Transfer them to kitchen towel to get rid of the excess oil.
- Serve hot with tomato sauce.
