French beans curry

Background
French beans are the part of common beans, pulses and peas. They provide less starch and protein compared to other dried types of beans. This recipe is simple to make and also very tasty.
Ingredients
- 300 gm French beans cut into small pieces
- 2-3 green chillies chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Β½ tsp mustard seeds
- 3-4 curry leaves
- A pinch of turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 2 tsp sesame seed powder
- 2 tsp oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat a pan and add oil.
- Add cumin and mustard seeds, allow them to crackle.
- Add curry leaves and sautΓ© well.
- Add green chillies and chopped French beans. Add salt and Stir slowly by adding half cup of water. Cover with a lid and allow them to cook on a low flame.
- When done, add turmeric, coriander and sesame seed powders and stir occasionally.
- The dish should be dry, so let the water evaporate totally.
- Remove from the flame and transfer to a serving bowl.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or with rotis.
