
Background
There is more than one kind of salad in Greece! This Greek green salad is simple alternative, which Β is popular in the spring. It goes really well with barbecued or grilled fish and can be prepared quickly and easily.
Ingredients
- 1 small romaine lettuce
- 4 spring onions
- 20g dill, chopped
- half a lemon
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Wash the lettuce, drain then dry them with kitchen towel. Slice the lettuce leaveinto thin strips.
- Chop the spring onions then put them in a large bowl and toss with the lettuce slices and the dill.
- Cut the lemon in half. Squeeze the juice out of one half and mix with the oil. Cut the other half into wedges.
- Pour the dressing over the salad, season to taste, then toss well.
- Serve with the lemon wedges on the side.
