Honey and balsamic baked figs with chestnuts

Background
This honey and balsamic baked figs with chestnuts is a nice variation of the classic dish. Serve it as a pudding with vanilla ice-cream, custard, crรจme fraรฎche Greek yogurt. Alternatively, add it to your porridge, or use as toppings for waffles & pancakes.
Ingredients
- 4 figs
- 2 Tbsp Greek honey
- 1 Tbsps. balsamic vinegar
- Mint leaves
- 1.2 cup roasted or cooked chestnuts
- To serve: Greek yoghurt or crรจme fraรฎche
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180ยฐC.
- Cut the figs in half and put them in a small ovenproof dish.
- Roughly chop the chestnuts, then scatter them around the figs.
- Drizzle with the honey and balsamic vinegar, then bake for about 10-25 minutes, until soft and lightly caramelised.
- Garnish with mint leaves, then serve warm.
