Background
If you want an easy and low calorie side-dish, do try this recipe! This low-cal slaw prepared in the proportions below works out at just 18 kCal/100g. It goes well with baked fish or a lean burger. I spiced it up with some Β freshly grated horseradish Β - Β you can add horseradish sauce instead or add some chopped Β fresh chilli or a pinch of chilli flakes. You can add more low-cal crunchy veggies such as lettuce, radish, courgettes, fennel and so on.
Ingredients
- 50g Leeks (11 kCal)
- 10g Vinegar (2 kCal)
- 50g Celeriac (9 kCal)
- 50g Celery (4 kCal)
- 1 tsp grated horseradish (2 kCal)
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar (1 kCal)
- 1 tsp gluten-free soy sauce(3 kCal)
Instructions
- Finely chop the leek and celeriac. Peel then grate the celeriac. Put them in a small serving bowl.
- Add the horseradish, vinegar and soy sauce. Combine well.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning.
