Minced lamb kofta curry

Background
Minced lamb kofta curry is a very delicious dish loaded with vegetables too. It is a dish which is a great hit with adults and kids alike. These koftas in a soft tomato purée gravy are so soft that they melt away in the mouth.
Ingredients
- ½ Kg Minced lamb
- 1 Potato (Grated)
- 1 Carrot (Grated)
- 1 Onion (Chopped roughly)
- ½ Cup vegetables (peas, beans, peppers, sweetcoen, etc)
- 1 Tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 Tbsp Fresh coriander (Chopped for kofta)
- 1 tsp Dry Coriander
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds (For kofta)
- 1 Green chilli
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- Salt as required
- Oil for deep frying
- 1 Tbsp Oil (For gravy)
- 1 Tbsp Tomato purée
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds (For seasoning)
- 1 tsp Dry mango powder
- ½ Onion (Cut into circles for garnishing)
- 1 Tbsp Coriander leaves (Chopped for garnishing)
Instructions
- Grind together in a food processor, lamb mince, potato, carrot, onion, vegetables, ginger garlic paste, coriander (Both fresh and dry), egg, cumin seeds, salt, green chilli and black pepper.
- Shape this mixture into small cylindrical shapes by wetting your hand. Deep fry these koftas in oil and set them aside.
- In a separate pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, tomato purée and dry mango powder and fry until oil oozes out on the sides.
- Add the koftas to it and garnish with coriander leaves and onions cut into circles.
