Background
This dish is a south Indian side and is very easy to make. It makes a great side for dal or sambar with rice.
Ingredients
- 2 Medium size potatoes
- 1½ Tbsp Oil
- ¼ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Chilli powder
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/8 tsp Cumin
- 2 cloves of Garlic (peeled and cut into 4 pieces)
Instructions
- Peel and clean the potatoes in water. Cut them into small cubes. keep them immersed in water until use.
- Take a pan and add oil.
- Add the potato cubes, curry leaves, garlic and cumin. Saute on medium flame until they turn golden.
- Add turmeric, salt and chilli powder, mix well. Fry until potatoes are cooked and done.
- Serve hot as a side for dal rice or sambar rice.
