Raw papaya with coconut

Background
Raw papaya has many health benefits and it also tastes very good when cooked. It helps healing skin conditions, protects from heart diseases and burns calories too! This recipe of raw papaya with coconut is very delicious and melts away in your mouth.
Ingredients
- 1 Small raw papaya (Peel, deseed and cut into small pieces0
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- 2 Garlic pods
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- A sprig of curry leaves
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 2 Tbsp Grated coconut
- ½ tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Chilli powder (Optional)
- Salt as required
- 1 tsp Oil
Instructions
- Pressure cook papaya with turmeric and salt along with little water for 2-3 whistles.
- Grind together coconut, garlic and cumin seeds and set aside.
- Heat oil in a deep bottomed vessel and add mustard seeds and curry leaves and let them splutter.
- Add the chopped onion and fry until brown and add red chilly powder and fry.
- Add papaya pieces and coconut mixture and cook until the water evaporates.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
