Background
The beauty of machine-made bread is that it only takes five minutes to put together the ingredients then (assuming your machine has a timer) it's ready for you in the morning - with the lovely smell of freshly baked bread to greet you! Seeds are recognised by experts to be particularly good for many aspects of your health and this Seedy Bread recipe makes eating them a really tasty pleasure.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp Yeast
- 275g Strong white flour
- 200g Strong Wholemeal flour
- 25g olive oil
- 1Β½ tsp sugar
- 1ΒΌ tsp fine sea salt
- 3 Tbsp soft seeds (e.g. sesame, poppy)
- 335 ml water
- Extra Seeds Added Later:
- 4-5 Tbsp of harder coated seeds (e.g. pumpkin, linseed, sunflower)
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to the pan in the order listed above (or as per your machine manufacturer's instructions)
- Use a 4 hour, large loaf setting appropriate to your machine.
Tips
- Instead of water you can use milk (dairy or dairy free) for extra richness.
- The Extra seeds should be placed in the auto-dispenser if you have one or do it by hand according to your manual.
