South Indian style spicy chicken fry

Background
South Indian spicy chicken fry is loved by all in my family and is very easy to make.
Ingredients
- * For marination: *
- 1 kg chicken cut into medium sized pieces
- 2 Tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 3 Tbsp red chilli powder
- Β½ tsp turmeric
- Salt to taste
- * Other ingredients: *
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 2 large onions chopped
- 1 Tbsp garam masala
- Β½ Tbsp. crushed black pepper
- 3 green chillies slit lengthwise
- 2 Tbsp finely chopped coriander
Instructions
- Marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric and salt for 30 mins.
- Cook marinated chicken over medium heat till soft and tender.
- Heat oil in another large nonstick pan over medium heat. Add onions, sautΓ© for a minute and transfer the chicken and fry.
- Fry for 10 to 15 minutes till the chicken turns golden brown in color. Now add garam masala, crushed pepper and green chillies. Stir for 2 minutes and turn off the heat.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rice or roti.
