Background

This Indian cabbage with peas recipe has a delicate taste to it. It goes very well with rotis or it can be part of an Indian menu. It is very easy to make.

Ingredients

½ cabbage, sliced and chopped
½ cup peas
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 medium tomato, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp turmeric powder
salt as required
1 tsp oil

Instructions

Heat the oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds and the cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
Add in the onion and turmeric and let it fry for a few minutes.
Add in the chopped cabbage and tomato and fry until they are cooked.
Add the peas and cook for a couple of minutes.
Add the garam masala and salt. Mix everything together.
Serve hot.
