Indian cabbage with peas

Background
This Indian cabbage with peas recipe has a delicate taste to it. It goes very well with rotis or it can be part of an Indian menu. It is very easy to make.
Ingredients
- ½ cabbage, sliced and chopped
- ½ cup peas
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- salt as required
- 1 tsp oil
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds and the cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
- Add in the onion and turmeric and let it fry for a few minutes.
- Add in the chopped cabbage and tomato and fry until they are cooked.
- Add the peas and cook for a couple of minutes.
- Add the garam masala and salt. Mix everything together.
- Serve hot.
