Β You can combine the ingredients in just five minutes- and you get some truly yummy spicy beef burger! I served mine in a gluten-free bun with some coleslaw, but you can create the burger according to your likes β or serve the patties with a salad if youβre on a low-carb diet.
Ingredients
- 450g lean minced beef
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tsps Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp hot paprika
- 4 spring onions, thinly sliced
- handful fresh parsley leaves, chopped
- Salt & pepper
- To serve: buns, cheese (optional), coleslaw or lettuce, sliced tomatoes/red onion/ gherkins, relish sauce etc
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the mince, garlic, ketchup, mustard, Worcester sauce, paprika and spring onion. Season with salt and pepper, then combine well with your hands. Add the parsley and mix.
- Divide the mixture into four patties, and rest them until youβre ready to cook.
- Heat a little olive oil in a non-stick frying pan or heat an oiled griddle pan. Fry the patties on each side for 3-5 minutes, depending on how well-done you like your beef.
- Meanwhile toast or grill your buns (cut in half).
- Whilst the patties are resting on a plate, add your chosen condiments and sauces to the lower half of the buns.
- Add the patties, then top with the upper half of the bun and serve.
