Background
This sticky chicken traybake is perfect for a midweek family meal or a weekend get-together. The chicken pieces are sweet and sticky, so kids love them too! Serve them with a mash, rice or salad. I used chicken thighs and drumsticks but wings would be suitable too.
Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken thighs and drumsticks
- 4 tsp honey
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp grainy mustard
- 8 Tbsp ketchup
- 4 tomatoes, cut into wedges
- Salt & pepper
Instructions
- Skin the chicken pieces.
- Mix the honey, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and ketchup them pour it over the chicken. Coat them well with the glaze. If you have time, marinate for 30-60 minutes then transfer them to a baking dish. Season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat the oven to 200Β°C.
- Bake the chicken for 15 minutes, then drain the cooking jus into a jar. Turn over the chicken and bake for 10 minutes.
- Add thee tomatoes and pour over the jus. Turn over the chicken again and bake for another 10 minutes. Itβs ready when the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is sticky and slightly caramelized.
- Serve warm.
