Background
I had some Prosecco left over that went flat so I decided to use it up in a marinade. I came up with the recipe of these wine marinated Lamb steaks, which turned out to very tender and tasty! You can use any dry white wine youβve got. Serve the steaks with a mash & salad or grilled veggies.
Ingredients
- 4 lamb steaks ( leg or shoulder)
- 100 ml white wine
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 4 sprigs of (lemon) thyme
- 1 clove of garlic
Instructions
- Put the steaks into a shallow dish and add the remaining ingredients.
- Marinate for minimum two hours in the fridge, overnight if you can. Turn them over a couple times. Before cooking, bring them back to room temperature.
- Heat your griddle pan, BBQ or grill to medium. Cook the steaks on each side for 2-5 minutes, depending on the thickness and your liking.
- Rest the steaks for 5 minutes (covered) before serving.
