Baked figs with Gorgonzola and Parma ham

Background
These baked figs with Gorgonzola and Parma ham are wonderful nibbles over the winter festivities. They are super-easy to make and are absolutely delicious! You can also serve them as a starter on some salad leaves in a celebratory menu.
Ingredients
- 4 figs
- 50g Gorgonzola
- 2 slices of Parma ham
- Dressing:
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 Tbsp runny honey
- 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- To serve: rocket (arugula) or mixes salad leaves
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200Β°C.
- Cut the figs carefully in half lengthwise.
- Mix the dressing.
- Cut a cross into the figs on the top and fill with some crumbled cheese. Wrap them with the ham leaving the tops uncovered.
- Place then onto a non-stick or lined baking tray and bake for 5-10 minutes.
- When the cheese begins to melt and the ham is crispy, remove them from the oven.
- Serve with rocket salad and/or with the dressing drizzled over the figs.
Tips
