Brussels sprouts with bacon

Background
Brussels sprouts go really well with bacon. In this version the addition of rosemary and Worcestershire sauce makes it even more tasty! This is a super easy side dish, perfect with a Sunday roast or in a dinner party menu.
Ingredients
- 500g Brussel sprouts
- 4 slices streaky bacon (smoked)
- 1 sprig of rosemary leaves
- 50 ml water or vegetable stock
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce ( aprox.)
- 2 small knobs of butter or dairy-free spread
- 2 tsp olive Oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut the bacon into thin strips.
- Clean the Brussels sprouts, then slice them finely or use a food processor to shred them into small pieces.
- Heat a little oil in a frying pan, add the bacon and rosemary leaves then a small knob of butter. Cook until crispy, then add the Brussels sprouts and another knob of butter. Add the water or vegetable stock and sautΓ© , under cover, for 5 minutes.
- When the sprouts are soft add some Worcestershire sauce to taste and season with salt & pepper.
- Serve warm.
