Background
This Camembert baked with blueberries is ideal for parties on a buffet table or serve it as a shared starter (or pudding!) at a dinner party. It’s super easy to make, and really yummy, so do try it and tuck in! You can use any nuts you like - walnuts, pecans and almonds are the best.
Ingredients
- 1 box Camembert, 250
- 2 sprigs of thyme
- 75g blueberries
- 1 Tbsp runny honey
- 1 handful of nuts nut (walnuts, pecan, almonds) roughly chopped
- Thyme leaves to garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Remove the lid and paper from the Camembert and, using a sharp knife, score a few lines into the cheese. Put the cheese back in the box (discard the lid), then place it onto a baking tray.
- Mix the thyme, blueberries, honey and nuts, then spread this on top of the cheese.
- Bake in the middle of the oven for 15 minutes or until the blueberries are just about to burst.
- Place the cheese onto a plater, removing the box.
- Score it with a knife, letting the cheese to ooze out, then dunk in with soldiers of toast, crostini, crudites, bread sticks or oat biscuits.
