Background

This Camembert baked with blueberries is ideal for parties on a buffet table or serve it as a shared starter (or pudding!) at a dinner party. It’s super easy to make, and really yummy, so do try it and tuck in! You can use any nuts you like - walnuts, pecans and almonds are the best.

Ingredients

1 box Camembert, 250
2 sprigs of thyme
75g blueberries
1 Tbsp runny honey
1 handful of nuts nut (walnuts, pecan, almonds) roughly chopped
Thyme leaves to garnish

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Remove the lid and paper from the Camembert and, using a sharp knife, score a few lines into the cheese. Put the cheese back in the box (discard the lid), then place it onto a baking tray.
Mix the thyme, blueberries, honey and nuts, then spread this on top of the cheese.
Bake in the middle of the oven for 15 minutes or until the blueberries are just about to burst.
Place the cheese onto a plater, removing the box.
Score it with a knife, letting the cheese to ooze out, then dunk in with soldiers of toast, crostini, crudites, bread sticks or oat biscuits.
