Background
This recipe is very tasty and easy to make. I got this Easy Indian Chicken Fry recipe from my mom and it is always a great hit forΒ the kids and adults alike! It's perfect for parties and get- togethers.
Ingredients
- 1 Kg Chicken (Cut into medium sized pieces)
- 2 Onions (Chopped roughly)
- 2 Tbsp Desiccated coconut
- 2 tsp Poppy seeds
- 1 Tbsp Oil
- Salt as required
- ½ Tbsp Tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp Soya sauce
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- For Marination:
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 Tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- Salt as required
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken with the ingredients for marinating for an hour or more.
- Blend together desiccated coconut and roasted poppy seeds to a smooth powder.
- In a pan, heat oil and add the onions and fry until brown. Blend this fried onion to a smooth paste and set aside.
- In a separate pan, boil the marinated chicken until the water evaporates.
- Add the coconut and poppy seed powder and the onion paste to it and fry until brown.
- Add the chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala, ketchup, soya sauce and salt and mix.
- Fry this until the chicken is brown all over.
- Serve hot.
