Background

This recipe is very tasty and easy to make. I got this Easy Indian Chicken Fry recipe from my mom and it is always a great hit for the kids and adults alike! It's perfect for parties and get- togethers.

Ingredients

1 Kg Chicken (Cut into medium sized pieces)
2 Onions (Chopped roughly)
2 Tbsp Desiccated coconut
2 tsp Poppy seeds
1 Tbsp Oil
Salt as required
½ Tbsp Tomato ketchup
1 tsp Soya sauce
1 tsp Red chilli powder
1 tsp Garam masala
For Marination:
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Red chilli powder
1 Tbsp Ginger garlic paste
Salt as required

Instructions

Marinate the chicken with the ingredients for marinating for an hour or more.
Blend together desiccated coconut and roasted poppy seeds to a smooth powder.
In a pan, heat oil and add the onions and fry until brown. Blend this fried onion to a smooth paste and set aside.
In a separate pan, boil the marinated chicken until the water evaporates.
Add the coconut and poppy seed powder and the onion paste to it and fry until brown.
Add the chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala, ketchup, soya sauce and salt and mix.
Fry this until the chicken is brown all over.
Serve hot.
