Indian prawns and spring onions

Background
Indian prawns with spring onions is a delicious combination which just melts away in your mouth. It has a brilliant taste to it and goes very well with steamed rice.
Ingredients
- ½ kg Prawns (shelled, de-veined and washed)
- 1 Onion chopped
- 3 Spring onions (washed and chopped)
- 1 Tomato chopped
- 3 cm Ginger grated
- 3 Garlic pods chopped
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- Salt as required
- 1 Tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Chilli powder
- 1 green chilli halved
Instructions
- In a deep bottomed vessel, heat the oil then add the onion and fry until brown.
- Add turmeric, ginger, garlic & green chilli and fry for a minute.
- Add the spring onions and tomato then fry until soft.
- Add the prawns and salt then cook them until soft.
- Add red chilli powder and mix.
