Background

Indian prawns with spring onions is a delicious combination which just melts away in your mouth. It has a brilliant taste to it and goes very well with steamed rice.

Ingredients

½ kg Prawns (shelled, de-veined and washed)
1 Onion chopped
3 Spring onions (washed and chopped)
1 Tomato chopped
3 cm Ginger grated
3 Garlic pods chopped
1 tsp Turmeric
Salt as required
1 Tbsp Oil
1 tsp Chilli powder
1 green chilli halved

Instructions

In a deep bottomed vessel, heat the oil then add the onion and fry until brown.
Add turmeric, ginger, garlic & green chilli and fry for a minute.
Add the spring onions and tomato then fry until soft.
Add the prawns and salt then cook them until soft.
Add red chilli powder and mix.
