Minced mutton curry

Background
Minced mutton or kheema is a very popular dish all over India. It is easy to make and is a favorite dish of mine.
Ingredients
- 500 gms minced mutton
- 2 Tbsps. oil
- 3 medium sized onions chopped
- 2 green chillies chopped
- 4 tomatoes finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp. ginger garlic paste
- ½ tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 2 tsps. Red chilli powder
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 bunch mint leaves chopped
- 1 bunch coriander leaves chopped
- Spice powder :
- 1” cinnamon
- 3 cardamoms
- 4 cloves
Instructions
- Clean and cook the minced meat in pressure cooker till done and set aside.
- Ground 1” cinnamon, 3 cardamoms, 4 cloves into fine powder and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add onions. Saute till they turn brown.
- Add ginger garlic paste, green chillies, sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook till soft.
- Add cumin, coriander, red chilli, turmeric powders, mint leaves and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add the cooked minced mutton and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Cook till required consistency. Once done switch off the stove and add spices powder (from step two).
- Mix well, transfer to serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or rotis.
