Raw banana cutlets

Background
Raw banana cutlets make for delicious evening snack and are very easy to make. This dish is popular in south India and are served as side dish with cooked rice.
Ingredients
- 3 raw bananas
- 1 medium sized onion finely chopped
- 2 green chillies cut into small pieces
- Β½ tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- Β½β ginger finely chopped
- 1 bunch coriander leaves chopped
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 2 Tbsp. chickpea flour
- 1 Tbsp. rice flour
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep fry
Instructions
- Cut the raw bananas horizontally into 2 pieces along with the skin and pressure cook them till 3 whistles.
- Set aside and allow them to cool. Remove the skin of cooked bananas and transfer to a bowl.
- Mash the cooked bananas with a spoon.
- Add chopped onions, green chillies, coriander powder, cumin powder, chopped ginger, red chilli powder, chopped coriander leaves and salt to the mashed bananas.
- Add chick pea flour and rice flour to the mixture. Mix well.
- Shape the mixture in the form of cutlets and deep fry them till golden brown.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup or any chutney.
