Background
This soy-glazed minute steak is perfect for busy days. You can serve it in a bun as a sandwich or plated with mash or a salad. Β Not only is it ready within 10 minutes, it tastes fantastic! If you have time, let it marinate for an hour or so - but it's not essential.
Ingredients
- 400g thin cut beef steaks
- 4 Tbsp red wine
- 1.5 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp unrefined cane or palm sugar
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion
Instructions
- Mix the soy, wine, mustard and sugar together. Pour this over the steaks, cover them well and rest for a while.
- Slice the onion into rings.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan, fry the onion rings, then dry them in paper towels.
- Place the steaks in the pan and season with pepper. Turn them over after 30 seconds. If you like steak medium, transfer to a plate now. If you like it well done, cook for another minute.
- Rest them for a couple of minutes before serving.
Tips
- The steak should be of good quality
- To cook quickly it should not be more than 1 cm thick!
