Sprouts with cranberry and almond

Background
If you need and easy, delicious, vegan sprout recipe to go with your roast Turkey or Goose, try this one. These blanched Sprouts with cranberry and almond are incredibly easy to make - it takes only 15 minutes to make, most of which can be prepared in advance.
Ingredients
- 250g sprouts
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp almond flakes
- 1 garlic clove, sliced
- 1 handful of dried cranberries
- 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2tsp muscovado sugar
Instructions
- Cut the sprouts in half. Blanch or steam them over boiling water until tender. Drain and set aside.
- Dry-fry the almonds until just golden. Set aside.
- When ready to serve, heat the oil in a frying pan and gently fry the garlic, until light brown. Add the vinegar and sugar, then cook for 30 seconds. Add the sprouts and cranberries and cook until warmed through. Season to taste, and top with the almonds.
